The Journey

FoundationEarly Career

U.S. Marine Corps — Avionics

Where precision, reliability, and mission-critical thinking became second nature. Every system had to work — every time.

Production Line #1Aerospace

Boeing — 747 Production Line & Advanced Technology

Two years wiring sections 41-42 of 747s in Everett, WA. Hands on the actual production line. Then moved to Advanced Technology Group working on telecom and networking solutions.

Production Line #2Biomedical

Genetic Systems — AIDS Test Manufacturing

Started on the production line building the first in-field AIDS test systems (BioTek readers, ELISA testing) in a heavily regulated FDA environment. Built the Field Service department from zero, managing 2 employees.

AwardNetworking

Cabletron Systems — Sales Engineer

Named Systems Engineer of the Year. Learned how to bridge complex technology with business needs.

Built 150+ TeamScaling

Xylan Corporation — Early SE to Global Director

Started as an early Sales Engineer and built the team from early stage to 150+ engineers and 12 managers worldwide. Led the team through IPO and $2B Alcatel acquisition.

TelecomOptical

Corvis Corporation — Optical Networking

Deep dive into OC-192 optical networking technology at the cutting edge of telecommunications.

Patent HolderArchitecture

ClearStream Communications — CTO / Chief Network Architect

Co-authored a PATENT for optical/IP network architecture. Presented solutions to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and NSF.

EnterpriseUC

Avaya — Solutions Architect

Unified Communications migration, helping enterprises modernize their communications infrastructure.

Global Framework13 Years

Polycom — Director of Architecture & Solution Engineering

Led 5 Solution Architects and 40+ Solution Test Engineers. Created Polycom Assured Design (PAD) framework — used globally across the organization.

Process ExpertConsulting

Cerium Networks & RS2 Technologies

Process optimization consulting and regional sales management for access control SaaS. Continued bridging operations with technology.

Built from ZeroCustomer Success

Device Authority — Director of Sales Engineering → Customer Success

Built Customer Success from zero. Created Device Authority Academy reducing POC cycles by 35%. Built Rocketlane dashboards and Confluence documentation systems.

EntrepreneurEntrepreneur

Retail Business Owner

Opened one of the first low-carb food stores in the U.S. with zero retail experience. Signed the front of paychecks — not just the back.

AI + OperationsCurrent

Hynds AI — Founder

Bringing 30 years of operational expertise to AI implementation. Helping mid-market companies eliminate bottlenecks and scale through intelligent automation.

Patent PendingInnovation

Grounded Ventures — Founder / CEO

OxSHIELD bioelectric wearable device. Provisional patent filed, currently in prototyping phase.

MITEducation

MIT xPRO — Learning Facilitator

Bridges real-world operational expertise with cutting-edge AI theory. Not a professor — a practitioner who teaches from experience.

MIT xPRO Learning Facilitator

Not a professor — a practitioner. Brings three decades of real-world operational expertise to MIT's AI courses, bridging the gap between theory and practical implementation.

MBA — Acton School of Business

Jordan Peterson Fellow with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Leadership. The academic framework behind decades of operational instinct.

Why This Matters

Most AI consultants know how to build technology. Very few understand how operations actually work on a production floor, in a regulated environment, or across a global team.

I've wired aircraft, built AIDS testing systems under FDA oversight, scaled engineering teams through an IPO, created global frameworks at Fortune 500 companies, and signed the front of paychecks as a business owner.

That's the difference between someone who can build AI and someone who knows exactly where to deploy it.
